Presentation of Austria
Austria, situated in the central Europe, occupies a total area of 83,855 km2 and contains 8,414,638
habitants. Having Vienna as its capital, its official
language is German.
Strange, isn't it? This mythical creature, called the krampus, is
one of the cultures of Austria. It is believed in this country that if this creature crosses a naughty child, it will take him along and eat him as his Christmas dinner.
Don't be afraid !! This is just a way to make bad children turn into good ones.

A famous mathematician:
Christian Andreas Doppler (1803-1853) is an austrian physicist and mathematician. He is well known for his works on the Doppler effect.
During the approach of a vehicle the received frequency is higher (compared to the emitted frequency) , it is identical at the instant of passing by, and it is lower while is goes away.
In this picture, the person situated in front of the car hears the siren better than the one on the back because, in front of the car, the distance between the waves is smaller than the distance of the waves on the back of the car.
