Hello..I'm Aditi from 1er S, I'm going to do a presentation on Poland and one of its famous mathematician : Stefan Banach.
First let me give you some interesting facts about Poland...

The name Poland originates from the tribe "Polanie". The word "Polanie" meant people living in the fields.

Poland is the 9th largest country of Europe and it is geographically located in the center of Europe.






 The official currency in Poland is the Polish Zloty.

Warsaw

The capital of Poland Warsaw. As seen on the picture, the city is beautiful....

Krakow

      

Krakow is the most visited city in Poland. It had 7.3 million tourists in the year 2009.  







The symbol of Poland is a white tailed
 eagle.









                     Nicoluas Copernicaus is considered the first astronomer to suggest that the earth was not the center of the universe.

People of polish descendant have own 17 Nobel prizes till now.

Marie Curie is the first and the only Nobel laureate in two different sciences.
